Five Minute Friday: Stuck

It’s Friday!

Warm weather is a wonderful thing.  I’m grateful.

Linking up with Kate Motaung and the Five Minute Friday community to write on this week’s word prompt:  stuck.

You’re in that impossible situation.

You keep beating your head against the same wall to no avail.

You can see the way out.  It’s within sight, but not within reach.

And you’ve tried everything.  All your resources.  All your wisdom.  All your plans and strategies and ideas.

Nothing works.

You’re still there at the bottom of the pit looking up with no way of escape.

Desperation and despair threatens.  You’ve lost hope.

Self-pity looks good.

As painful as it is to be in that place, it’s not a bad place.

It’s a good place to “be still and know that I am God.”  Cease striving.

Give up and ask for help.

Because you can’t do it.  You don’t have what it takes.  It’s time to turn it over.

Even when you get a rope thrown down to you, it still won’t be easy.  It will still take everything you’ve got to climb out.

But, you are no longer alone.
