Five Minute Friday: Beauty

Another Friday.

This week has had a lot of crazy: a church Valentine’s dinner, trip to the airport, visit with old friends and basketball ceremonies.  It’s ending up with quiet evenings–old movies and good books.  There’s much to be thankful for: the crazy and the quiet.

Linking up with Kate Motaung and FMF community.

This week’s word is beauty.

Is beauty created or contrived?

What if it’s both?

What if God allows us to partner with Him in creating and contriving beauty?

I think that’s the best of both worlds.

We’re asked to focus on whatever is lovely. It can be difficult.  There’s a lot of ugly.  It can be harsh words, slammed doors, messes, junk, disorder, hateful thoughts, hardened hearts.

But, we can choose to focus on the lovely.

We can intentionally cultivate beauty.  We can make room for it in our lives.

We can purpose to seek it out, to implement it, to reflect our Creator.

I believe He is honored when we do.
